Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
No advertising or tracking cookies are baked in our kitchen. This page explains in plain language what we store in your browser, which statistics we keep and how you can control them.
The necessary ones
The site cannot work properly without these: you could not sign in, your language would not be remembered and the site could not be protected from malicious traffic. That is why they do not depend on your consent.
| Name | What it does | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| cf_clearance | Protects the site from bots and attacks; remembers that you are a real visitor. | 1 year | Cloudflare |
| auth-storage | Keeps you signed in. Only filled when you have signed in. | Until you sign out | MUTFAMIA |
| preferred_lang | Remembers the language you chose. | Until you delete it | MUTFAMIA |
| cookie_consent | Remembers your choice on this page so we do not show the notice again and again. | Until you delete it | MUTFAMIA |
Anonymous reading statistics
We count which articles are read and for how long; "most read" lists and read counts come from this. We use no cookies for it and build no profile that identifies you. So that the same visit is counted once, your IP address is turned into a one-way digest that is specific to that day; the raw IP address is not stored and the digest changes the next day. You can turn these statistics off with "Only the necessary ones"; they are off automatically if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal.
Third parties on our pages
- Cloudflare: speeds up and protects our site. It also provides aggregate visit statistics (Web Analytics) that use no cookies and do not identify individuals.
- Google Maps: only on the map page, your browser connects to Google's servers to load the map images and your IP address is sent to Google.
- YouTube: on video interview pages the video's preview image is loaded from YouTube's servers. When you press play, the video opens from YouTube and YouTube may use its own cookies.
Changing your choice
You can change your decision at any time. If you delete site data in your browser settings, your choice is deleted too and the notice appears again. Details on how we process personal data are in our privacy notice; for questions, write to [email protected].
